Colour Compensating Filters
These filters are designed to correct the colour temperature of the light and are normally used with transparency film, where correct colour temperature is critical these filters adjust a specific colour that your image has to much of.
With colour negative film used to make prints, correct colour temperature is far less important because compensations are normally made automatically during the printing process.
